Full Text Search

Nokumo and Nokumo Lite support full-text search. It instantly allows you to find a contact, an organization, a task, an event, a project, a note or a document among thousands. For documents, Nokumo indexes the content PDF, Text, HTML files, allowing you to search inside your documents.

Documents List View (Nokumo only)

Nokumo adds a new list view to the documents module in addition to the icons view.

Document Preview (Nokumo only)

Nokumo allows you to preview a document without opening it with the new preview pane.

Document types (Nokumo only)

Nokumo allows you to create custom types for documents. You can use custom types for invoices, receipts, reports, letters…

Redesigned filterbar for project

The Projects module has a new filterbar, which allows you to filter a list of projects by status. The statuses are: Not Defined, Proposed, In Planning, In Progress, On Hold, Completed and Cancelled.

The Tasks module has a new filterbar, which allows you to filter a list of tasks by status. The statuses are: Not Started, Completed, In Progress and Cancelled.

Improvements and bug fixes

In addition to the new features, Nokumo and Nokumo Lite also enjoy a few major improvements in some areas:

• Hiding/showing calendar speed improved.
• Projects’ Dashboard Calendar responsiveness improved.
• Documents Icon View responsiveness improved (Nokumo only).
• Preferences responsiveness improved.

A few bugs were also fixed:

• Fixed a crashing bug which occurred when you drop a contact on a contact type.
• Fixed a bug which displayed all day event either too short or too long in the weekly calendar view.

• Smart groups: smart groups are ‘dynamic’ groups, which contain items that match rules you specify.
• Custom Fields: custom fields enable you to add additional information to your contacts, organizations and projects.
• Contact Types: Nokumo now supports custom types for contacts.
• Task Default Priority: you can set a default priority for every task you create.
• Automatic archives: Nokumo can automatically archive completed tasks after a number of days that you will have specified in the preferences.
• Calendar Detailed view now displays the parent calendar of the appointment.
• Checkboxes in the dashboard: Nokumo enables you to complete a task or a project without the need to edit them.
• Sidebars: categories are only displayed if they have items.

• Fixed a crashing bug which occurred when editing a document.
• Fixed a bug which prevented the sidebar to work after selecting a tag for an entry.

 Smart Groups

Smart groups are ‘dynamic’ groups, which contain items that match rules you specify. For example, you created two contact types, ‘Prospect’ and ‘Client’, created a new category for every region where you provide a service, but you want more. You want to see all ‘Prospect’ contacts for a particular category, i.e. sales region. Well, smart groups are designed for this. Create a smart group to gather and automatically update information from all your contacts based on the criteria you specify.

Smart groups are available for contacts, organizations, tasks, projects, notes and documents.

Custom Fields

You provide support for you customers during the length of a contract and would like to add the end date of the contract. Contacts’ built-in fields don’t support it, but with Nokumo 1.1, you will be able to use custom fields to add a contract end date.

Contact Types

Nokumo supports custom types for organisations, tasks and projects. Nokumo will support custom types for contacts.

Task Default Priority

When you add a task with the Quick Entry interface, Nokumo currently sets the priority to ‘Normal’ for the new entered task. However, you may want to mark all your new tasks as ‘High’, so Nokumo 1.1 offers you ability to set a default priority for every task you create. Of course, you can still change the priority later.

Automatically archive completed tasks after a number of days

If you are like me, you create and complete a lot of tasks, but after a few weeks, your tasks list is a bit cluttered. You could archive them manually, but you’re a bit lazy like me, so Nokumo 1.1 will do the job for you. Nokumo 1.1 will automatically archive completed tasks after a number of days that you will have specified in the preferences.
